Autumn Equinox Meridian Movement with Cat Westwood

In this workshop, you will have the wonderful opportunity to explore the Metal Element in Chinese Medicine and the Lung & Large Intestine meridians associated with this season. This connects us to our self-worth and precious value.

Cat is delighted to combine various practices such as self-Shiatsu, acupressure points, Qi Gong, energy work, freeform movement, and yoga to create a rich and nourishing experience for all participants. The focus is to help you connect with the season and prepare for Winter as we draw inwards, by resonating with your inner landscape.

About Cat

Her love of Shiatsu developed over 15 years ago through her professional experience within body practices, a seed was planted after watching a colleague's mum doing Qi Gong in her garden and asking what she was up to!

She initially trained in Dance Theatre at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where she began an international career as a contemporary movement artist. While training to be a dancer, strong discipline is needed for the amount of physical and emotional demand, and, she became increasingly aware of the intangible relationships between body, mind, and spiritual wellbeing. From there, her interests in dance grew to somatic, holistic movement, including training at Body Weather Laboratory (a Japanese contemporary dance form that utilises environment and nature) with Oguri and Steinberg in Los Angeles, USA. She realised that her curiosity in this movement had sparked a subconscious response to working within therapy and body practices.

Cat practices Shiatsu in Norwich and at the Space, Burston. You can find out more here
